Condolence & Memory Journal

Christina was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever know. We will miss her

Christina lived across the street from me when we were growing up. She was a wonderful, cheerful, sweet person. She was always up for whatever adventures or plans we had........riding bikes to the 'haunted house" near her grandmother's house; making up circus acts in her barn with dogs wearing hats, horses trotting around in circles with bells on, jumping out of the hayloft like circus acrobats; slathering ourselves with coppertone and lying in her yard; riding in her brother Ken's 'diaper car' (no idea why we named it that, but it was a funny old black car with squishy seats).
Christina was always very concerned about her mother (Elise) and her grandmother she called 'Danny'. Her sincere interests in people were kindly and thoughtful. I have many wonderful memories of Christina.

Christina and I sang together in the choir at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Acton, and we also volunteered for Animals as Intermediaries, now known as The Nature Connection. We prepared flyers for mailing in the AAI office, and she was the caregiver for Dove, whom we used in programs. I always enjoyed giving Christina rides to choir rehearsals, or seeing her walking Jiggy in West Concord on my morning commute. She was such a gentle soul, with a deep faith and an abiding love for all of God's creatures. I will miss her!

She will always be Auntie to me. I even introduced her to a friend as Auntie and apologized, to which she said to my friend, "Oh! you can call me "Auntie".

Christina sang in the choir for many years at Church of the Good Shepherd in Acton. I remember her very fondly from my 10 years there as music director. She was a dear, sweet soul, very devout and kind.

We of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross, of which Christina and her mother were members,
were always glad to have her join us at Adelynrood, our Retreat and Conference Center in Byfield, MA.
She was an avid gardener there. She will be missed for her cheerful presence. May she now rest in peace and rise in glory. -- Kay Evans

Christina, Sti, was my best friend from childhood on though all her life. I'm so sad to see her go but I'm filled with many memories of fun times togather - singing in the children's choir, watching TV in her house, taking care of our horses in her barn, and swiming in our pond. She hosted me in her appartment when I came to town for my Dad's funeral and many other times. Sti was always focused on the other person not herself. Her kindness and cheerfulness was evident in all her interactions with family, friends, people she worked or volunteered with, and with all the animals she enjoyed. I will miss her greatly. She ran the good race, Bravo Sti!
