Condolence & Memory Journal

How very sad I was to hear that George had passed away. He was a real gentleman who visited us, the 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, a number of times over the years, both in Germany and the UK, whilst a member of HM 10th Foot in America. We had a huge amount of fun together and he will be remembered for his quiet charm and modesty which disguised his distinguished record of service for his country.
Please accept our condolences and deepest sympathies. You are all in our thoughts and prayers as, of course, is George.

George was a very special man, understated and modest despite his many achievements and military service. All of us in 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment who had the privilege of knowing him through his membership of HM 10th Foot In America will remember the good times spent with him in Germany and UK and on visits to Boston, and also at the Tattoo in Bermuda. Great memories of a good friend. Mike Beard

George was a great man and a good friend and I shall dearly miss him. I spent much time with George and Leo Lynch as we traveled to and from the UK and Germany to visit the Royal Anglian Regiment and enjoy their hospitality. Please accept our condolences and sympathy at this sad time and know we will always remember him as the wonderful man he was.

Godspeed, George. Thank you for your selfless contributions to the 10th Regiment of Foot. It carries on today in large part thanks to your efforts many years ago.
